"Hadal; The hadal zone (named after the Greek god, Hades, god of the Underworld), the delineation for the deepest trenches in the ocean.
Maw; the symbolic or theoretical center of a voracious hunger or appetite of any kind.

Hadal Maw is a Death Metal band based in Melbourne, Australia.
The band’s current and continuing history is as follows:
2010 – Nick Rackham (House of Thumbs) commences writing for a technical death metal project.
April 2011 – Swimming with Sharks vocalist Aaron Grice successfully auditions out of a multitude of candidates.
August 2011 – Nick enlists Alarum drummer Rob Brens and work commences on two tracks and a film clip for release in 2012.
June 2012 – After deciding to start completing the line up, bassist Jim Luxford (Flatstick, Arcane Saints) is recruited. Shortly after, the line up is completed with guitarist and principal songwriter of A Million Dead Birds Laughing, Ben Boyle.
October 2012 – First two songs debut"
